I had no idea that my great-grandfather was on this page. I have been in law enforcement on and off since 1990 and just recently had to leave due to disability. I'd like to to think that the reason I was never hurt on duty was because he was watching over me. I hope I made him proud.

I'm so sorry nobody found your & Bigdaddys murderers & brought them to justice. My mother talked about you & your wife very fondly. I'm thankful you were his partner.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your grandaughter for sharing her devotion to you through her reflection.

Rest In Peace.

Mom of fallen California Officer Larry Lasater, Pittsburg PD, eow 4/24/05

Though I never knew you, I always loved you. You were never forgotten and always remembered so fondly by those you left behind. Mammaw Lora never stopped talking about you and never stopped loving you. She never remarried and at age 96 while she was slowing passing away, I whispered in her ear that she would now be reunited with the love of her life. I believe with all my heart that thought would make her passing a little easier. I hope she is with you now along with your children that have already passed.
My mother and the rest of your children think of you each day and love you and miss you and their mother. One day we will all meet in heaven and I will find out for myself why everyone loved you so much.
