Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I have been working so hard to get your name corrected on the National Memorial, I hope I've succeeded with the help of the Department of Corretions in South Dakota. In this effort I've found even in death you are remembered and respected. I've been offered a private tour of the Penetentiary and where you once lived inside by the current Director. What a special honor that is.
Grandpa, do you realize that I would never have known your name was on the memorial had I not been in DC for the 2004 Memorial following the loss of my Officer. I hope you and the rest of the family are taking good care of him as he took care of me. As I will be in DC this coming May, I will I check to make sure our family name is correct.
Give my hugs and love to all those with you,
Your Loving Grand Daughter - MJ

What a legacy..........
You will always be honored.

To see one's name, as a true American Hero, humbles one. May God keep you in the hollow of his.

Warden Reilly was still maintaining Law & Order at 72 years old. Criminals in 1936 or 2003 are all the same. Thanks Warden for the years of service and your sacrifice.

Oregon State Police
