Trooper Reichert,

I was told about you several times by Mr. Bobby Baxter who is from and lived in Logtown when you were on patrol and when you were shot. I have read some articles from some copies of the Times Picayune that were written about you. I have seen your name on a monument that honors you and other fallen officers at the Hancock County Court House in Bay Saint Louis but until today I didn't have a face to go with your name. I hope to meet you someday when I go 10-7 (Out of Service). God bless you and your family.

Trooper Reichert,

My father was a Trooper killed in the line of duty in 1987. My father was assigned to Troop K also. I use to work patrol in Hancock County near the Louisiana State line. The town of Pearlington is on Hwy 90 near the line, which was near where you were shot. I use to stop and talk to an old man in pearlington while on patrol. I remember the old man telling me about your incident. I will always remember. I salute you. God bless you.
