While your killers never faced justice here on earth, they surely faced a higher justice at a later time in a different place. Thank you for your service and please know that your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace always.

Walter Rauch was my Grandfather. I never got to meet him. My dad was 9 when his dad Walter Rauch was shot and killed. Sorry I never got to meet you, Grandpa, but thank you for your service. I love you!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84thth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I was saddened to see that Christmas Day is the eow for so many, many officers. Rest In Peace.

My mother stayed with her Uncle Walt when she was in the 4th grade (1918-1919). She remembers him as a musician, as well as a policeman. Walter Rauch was survived by his wife Stella and their two children.
