To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Felix, I was honored to talk with your youngest daughter just months before her death at an advanced age. She and the rest of the family never got closure or a true answer as to who your murder was. I have not given up on following up on your cold case though tracking a 70 year old murder is not easy.
I wrote an article about your murder (and the murder of NC&St.L Special Officer S.W. Everson) in the DIXIE FLYER the newsletter of the NC&St.L Preservation Society. God Rest your sole.

Agent Presson I was browsing all the railroad police killed and I came across your incident. Only a railroad cop can understand the dangers we face every day protecting the railroads and the public. You were doing your job and now you can rest my brother. Respect is hard to come by in the law enforcement community but you have certainly earned my respect my freind. Rest in peace, we will take up the challenge you gave your life for, you did not die in vain.
