Reflections for Constable George J. Prescott
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice that Officer Prescott made for the citizens of Medford. He has a city park in his name, and we do not have a promotion or retirement event without mentioning his sacrifice, as well as the sacrifice of others.
Rest in peace Officer Prescott, and we all thank you for your service.

Like so many of us, you did your job day in and day out trying to make a difference in the world. It took just a second for a hateful individual to take you from your family. It happened many years ago but to us in law enforcement it was like yesterday. God bless your memory.
A law enforcement brother.
