Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

Agent Porter, you undertook duties that many held in contempt. You took on responsibilities that few truly wanted. It is because you dared to do a job that was so unenviable and so reviled, that I truly respect you. It may not have been a popular law and the most tragic part of all it that your sacrifice was in vain, it was, at the time, the law of the land. You took an oath and you stood by it. Thank you.

God Bless and may your rest last for all eternity, Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
