YOU AND I PLAYED C. Y.O. BASEBALL FOR ST. GABRIELS CHURCH IN RIVERDALE, N.Y. FROM 1954-1956. I JOINED THE DEPT IN 1965 AND DID NOT KNOW OF YOUR DEATH. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 49th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

My dad was on the force in the 30s @ 40s and I was looking up some info whe I came accross Johns name I of course knew him as NINI. I realize its close to 50 years but I still remember him as a funny kid who used to drive the nuns nuts.

This website was started long after this officer's eow. Perhaps no one who mourned his loss at the time is aware of this valuable memorial page where law enforcement officers and their ultimate sacrifice may be remembered and honored. In light of that, and with little information about Patrolman Polarolo or his family, I offer my condolences to those who knew and loved this man. I will remember him in prayer and thought for his dedication to serve and protect his fellow citizens. Rest in God's eternal peace and may His perpetual light shine upon you and His blessings to your loved ones.
