Reflections for Police Officer Norman C. Philbrick

Officer Philbrick, it has been 74 years since you were taken from us. Northern New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices that you and too many others have made for us. Thank you for your service.

Thank you so much for still honoring Uncle Norm, I never met him but the stories my Mom told about him made us remember him larger than life. I had the honor to attend the rededication of the Police Memorial in Auburn and cannot thank the Auburn Police Dept enough for such a special day in my life. My Mom would have been so proud. Thank you for reconnecting us with family as well!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 63rd anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

mom of fallen Pittsburg (CA) Officer Larry Lasater

I never knew my Uncle Norman, but knew little of the story of his death. I recently visited Auburn, ME and was given a tour of the Police Station and met a new members of the Auburn Police Force. To know that my Uncle gave so much and that his memory is honored the way in which it is was very overwhelming to me. I wish my Mother could see it, I will be at the re-dedication in May of 2012.

Thank you Auburn Police
