Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Marshal Pake-

After 80 years, you are remembered for your heroism and bravery in confronting the armed burglar that February day. A lot of changes have taken place since you patrolled the streets of the "Town of Yelm."

Yelm is now a very large city, with stoplights up and down Yelm Ave. Gone are the vast open prairies, irrigation canals, and most of the farmland and agriculture that Yelm was known for. Yelm no longer has a Marshal Service, rather it has eveolved into a modern Police Department.

Yelm is becoming industrialized at a fast pace, with Wal-Mart is coming next year, and a new Public Safety Building set for construction next year. Hopefully, a plaque will be dedicated in your honor at the new building.

The Washington State Law Enforcement Memorial is near completion on the State Capitol grounds that will honor you and our brother and sister officers that have paid the ultimate price for the citizens of WA State.

We remember you and the sacrifice you made for the townspeople of Yelm. Thank you for your service. Your memory is not forgotten, and you will forever be part of Yelm's history. Rest in peace.
