Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. You will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace today, especially your devoted daughter Barbara.

Rest In Peace

I always remember you as such a solid person.....strong in every way. I visit you often and put flowers on your grave for the holidays, something I promised your mother I would do. I miss you and wish you were still here.

I talked to James today, he is very proud of you. We have your name and your memory on the memorial at the local Police Academy Range, it is passed every year by new and current law enforcement officers who remember the sacrifice that you made. James now runs a monument company in Kilgore, Texas, he is the one that put the monument up for the memorial. You are greatly missed by your family. Thank you for your sacrifice. Matthew 5:9

I rode with Sid for about three months on the Beaumont P.D.(after the "scar in the bar" that put 67 stitches on his face). This man was a cop's cop-one of the best. To this day he is in my own mental "Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame" and some day I will put him into a book(I'm a writer now).
