Reflections for Officer Maurice W. Owen
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 69th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Wow. As I read this reflection, I know that I am reading about a true hero. I have never read about an officer returning to duty after two separate, not to mention, serious accidents. I applaud your heroism and pray that I may be even a small percentage of the officer that you were. Even though I did not know you, I still consider you to be a brother. Rest in peace my friend.
