Reflections for Police Officer Edward O'Brien

One hundred years ago today, Edward O'Brien gave his life in the pursuit of his law enforcement duties. Today, October 30, 2016 Deputy Dan Glaze gave his life. We are grateful to the century of law enforcement these two fine men represent. And we pray that on October 30, 2116, there will be no officers commemorated here on Officer O'Brien's second centennial anniversary.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

This was my great great grandfather, and I can tell you I loved his daughter Mary Martha, she was my dear grandmother, who mourned his sad death. He must have been a special man from the care and love she had for him. I am so grateful for this memorial page, thank you ODMP.
