Federal Prohibition Agent George Droz died after falling into a vat of boiling mash while conducting a moonshine investigation in Marrero, Louisiana.

He and other agents were walking around the exterior of the home when he fell through a disguised hole into the boiling mash. He was rushed to the hospital suffering from third degree burns, but died several days later.

Agent Droz was survived by his wife and three daughters.
