Border Patrol Agent Roberto Duran was killed when his patrol vehicle overturned while on patrol on Federal Route 15 near Chuichu on the Tohono O'odham Reservation in Arizona.

Agent Duran was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He had served with the United States Border Patrol for four years and was assigned to the Chula Vista Border Patrol Station in San Diego, California. He was on a temporary assignment to the Casa Grande Station in Tucson, Arizona. He was a member of the 361st Academy Session and is buried at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery in Texas. He is survived by his wife and four children.
