Police Officer Harold Woolery was stabbed to death by two of five transients he attempted to eject from a box car parked on a siding along the Missouri River in Kansas City, Missouri. All five suspects were apprehended and charged with first degree murder.
The two killers, 42 and 27, were convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life. One was exonerated. The other two suspects, 20 and 25, were convicted of murder but their sentences are unknown.
