Officer William Wilson was shot to death when he confronted five youths who had robbed a bank at Kensington Avenue and Huntingdon Street. Eleven bullets were pumped into his body. Five suspects were later arrested and sentenced to death.
The two suspects were convicted of Officer Wilson's murder and subsequently executed on April 8, 1935.
