Kristi, I am proud to say I was a friend of Billy's and I rode with Billy on the 2nd shift Motorcycles..When Billy came up to ride our shift he was put with Me and my partner Don Wilcox for alternate days of training...Billy could already ride,, he was good to start with.. He would ride with me one day and Don the next..at night we always rode double, but in the daytime we rode solo...At the time we all rode big all white Harleys and we were all proud of our motorcycles. when they issued you a motorcycle it was yours,,nobody else rode it but you...I remember Billy was quiet and shy type who was always smiling..Billy, and most of us, had our boots shined before roll call every day by Henry..Henry was like a trustee,, in jail so much they let Henry stay downstairs and shine boots and cleanup the place,, After I left MPD it wasn't too long until the police Dept. started buying Kawasaki Motorcycles ...extremely fast and much more powerful than our Harleys were...Billy was riding a Kawasaki I was told, that fateful day..It hurts me everytime I think about what happened...We all knew how dangerous it was but we all loved riding so much we never let it bother us,,, we didn't want to be in no stinkin' patrol car,,lol...Kristi I have 3 or 4 friends on my Facebook Page who were riding 2nd shift with Billy and I, that are all still riding motorcycles ...wish Billy was riding with us......I'll tell them about this page here...I just found today..Rod Moody,,,,on facebook Rod MMoody
