Elmos Sewell Morgan

Officer Elmos Morgan was killed in an automobile crash while pursuing a speeding vehicle.

He was ejected from his patrol car after it left the roadway and overturned. He was transported to Cherokee County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The vehicle he was pursuing continued to flee.

Officer Morgan was U.S. Army veteran of WWII and had served with the Cedar Bluff Police Department for 14 months. He was survived by his wife.

On today, the 50th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during World War II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
