Once again I am missing you so much!!! As my tears fall I read the thoughts left about you! So I come here to feel close to you and on this Memorial Day, I would like to Thank You for your 2 tours of duty in the Air Force where in North Africa you were burned so badly that the doctors said you would never walk. I can still see the "squares" on your back where they grafted skin to put on your legs which stayed so scarred. And to have your ear blown off makes me hurt!!! You became known for that later. To have been flown to Germany to the burn ward and then Texas with such severe burns shows what a strong will you had! I saw these things through a child's eyes and did not understand until I became an adult but you were already gone by then! No one knows how much I miss you!!! Thank you so much for all of your sacrifices and I understand! Thank you again to everyone who has commented on my dad's behalf!!! God Bless you all! Love, "slick"
