Federal Prohibition Agent Walter Mobray and Federal Prohibition Agent Jacob Brandt were shot and killed in Pensacola, Florida, during an undercover operation.
The two agents had gone to a man's home to purchase liquor. The man told them he would go inside to get the liquor but he emerged holding a shotgun and pistol and he shot both agents before they had time to react.
The suspect was arrested and convicted of first degree murder after admitting to the murders. He died in prison in 1947.
