Private Merson was killed in an automobile accident while on patrol.
Officer Merson,
I have visited your gravesite many times over the years during police memorial week. You are buried at Ivy Hill cemetary in the City of Laurel, and I would drop in to visit you and others who have either made the supreme scarafice, or served with distinction as a police officer. Thank you for your service to the profession, rest in peace.
