Private McMillen was killed in an automobile accident when his patrol car was struck head-on by a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Route 955 in Harborcreek Township. Another officer was injured in the accident but survived.
Private McMillen had been with the agency for four years and was survived by his wife.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
