Trooper Robert J. McDonald was killed in a motorcycle accident during a pursuit. Trooper McDonald's motorcycle sideswiped another car. He succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Trooper McDonald is a one year veteran of the Illinois State Police as well as a WWI veteran; He is survived by his wife.
