Officer McClintock succumbed to injuries received three days earlier in a motorcycle accident when a vehicle turned into his path at University and Lexington, causing him to strike it head-on. Officer McClintock was thrown from the bike and struck his head on the curb.
Officer McClintock was survived by his wife and five children.
