Private Floyd Maderia was killed in an automobile accident on an icy road in Minooka, Pennsylvania, while returning from court after testifying in a murder case. He succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Private Maderia was a U.S Navy veteran and had served with the Pennsylvania State Police for almost five years and was survived by his father.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
