Officer Charls Lilly was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while he and his partner conducted a traffic stop. The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended minutes later.

Officer Lilly had been with the agency for two years.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
