View all 9 ReflectionsThis was my grandfather on my mother’s side of the family. The story goes he had just sat down to the table for Sunday dinner with his wife and six children when there came a knock at the door. He was told there was a disturbance in town and he was needed. When he arrived in town and walked into the establishment where the trouble was he was gunned down.
I’ve been told my grandfather had steel blue eyes that seemed to look straight through a person and had no fear of anything.
