Patrolman Lawrence was killed when he fell from a ladder while assisting with rescue efforts during a structure fire on Broad Street. Patrolman Lawrence slipped off of the ladder and fell 25 feet to his death.

Patrolman Lawrence was survived by his wife.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
