Trouper Leo LaVelle was my great uncle. I was so happy to find this memorial page about him. My father James Leo Hughes would always tell us kids stories about his Uncle Leo and how much he loved and admired him. Uncle Leo left behind a young widow Marge and his only son Thomas that was about 4 years old. Our family is so very proud of our Uncle and still to this day honor his service and memory.

Thank you for this opportunity to tell our story.
God bless you all and keep you safe.
