I think all of the time on how I was never blessed enough to be able to meet you, but hearing all of the stories about you I honestly feel like I knew you my whole life. I know dad misses you very much and thinks about you a lot. Mom tells me all the time that dad is so much like you. He even followed in your footsteps and went into law enforcement. My dad has, and always will be, my hero. It breaks my heart to think you were taken away from everyone who loved you so dearly. I am getting married this next June and wish you could be there to share in the happiness. Then I stop and think about it, and I know you will be there. Just like you've been there for everything else. In spirit, looking over all of us in heaven. I love you, Papaw!
