Patrolman Laird was killed in an automobile accident while on duty.
He was survived by his wife and three children.
Thank you for keeeping West Orange N.J. safe. My dad was a West Orange Police Officer from 1957-1982. I have a great deal of respect for the West Orange Police Dept. I often see your name on the wall outside the police station.
