Charles Kopf

Trooper Charles Kopf was killed in an automobile crash at the intersection of Route 25 and Crosswicks Street in Hamilton Township.

He was en route to a crash investigation when he was struck by a tractor-trailer. The impact spun his patrol vehicle around and into a pole. He was thrown from the car and died instantly.

Trooper Kopf was a United States Navy Reserve veteran and had served with the New Jersey State Police for nine months. He was survived by his wife and parents.
