Raymond M. Koerber

Trooper Raymond Koerber was killed in an automobile accident while attempting to stop a speeding vehicle on Highway 75. Another vehicle began to back out of a driveway into the highway. Trooper Koerber's patrol car collided with the vehicle and struck a tractor trailer head-on.

Trooper Koerber was survived by his wife and five children.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 51rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
