James H. Killion

Patrolman James Killion was struck and killed by a locomotive at the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad crossing at 5th Street and Hickory Street.

He was patrolling the area around the railroad yards when he was struck at about 2:00 am.

Patrolman Killion had served with the St. Joseph Police Department for one year and had previously served with the Maryville Police Department. He was survived by his wife and six children.
