Jesse R. Johnson

Federal Prohibition Agent Jesse Johnson was ambushed and shot to death by moonshiners in Saline County, Arkansas.

He and other agents had just finished raiding a still and were processing the prisoners when he was shot from ambush. He was rushed to a hospital in Little Rock where he died the following day.

One suspect was arrested and confessed to murdering him.
