Patrolman Dennis Jobe was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle while training at the Armour Training Center. He struck his head on the ground and died several hours later at the hospital.

Patrolman Jobe, who had served in the Vietnam War, was survived by his expectant wife and two children.

On today, the 46th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Armed Forces in Vietnam. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
