Archie L. Jennings

Inspector Jennings was struck and killed by an automobile while conducting a traffic checkpoint near Oceanside, California. A vehicle which had stopped at a stop sign was rear-ended by another speeding vehicle. The stopped vehicle was then catupulted into Inspector Jennings, causing fatal injuries.
Inspector Jennings had been with the agency for three years.

A very tough job then and now performed by very tough people. Thank you for your service. Though some feel the Border Patrol's job is a losing one and pointless, most of us with common sense know just how important your job is and I thank you for doing it. On this 54th anniversary of your death I would like to make clear that to all of us out here, you are a hero.
