Emery J. Jackson

Constable Emery Jackson was shot and killed when he responded to a domestic disturbance involving a man and his wife. The man shot him as he stepped onto the home's porch and asked what was the trouble.

The 73-year-old suspect was committed at the state mental hospital in Salem and died there on April 17, 1968.

Constable Jackson was survived by his wife, Anna, and 2 sons, Emery Robert Jackson and Raymond Victor Jackson.
