Trooper Hudson was killed when a tractor trailer struck the rear of his patrol car on I-87 in Saratoga. Trooper Hudson had stopped behind another disabled tractor trailer when the incident happened. The driver of the disabled vehicle was killed also.

Trooper Hudson had served with the New York State Police for 15 years and was assigned to Saratoga at the time.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 27th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Laslater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.Rest In Peace
