Officer Hubbard was killed when her patrol car was struck by a vehicle being chased by other units at 0220 hours. Officer Hubbard was assisting the units when the patrol car was broadsided by the vehicle, which was driving at an estimated 90 mph. Officer Hubbard was killed at the scene and her partner was injured. Both suspects were arrested at the scene, convicted, and sentenced to life.
Officer Hubbard had served with the Detroit Police Department for 11 years.
