Ephriam John Hubbard

Officer Hubbard was shot and killed while returning to the Spokane Jail from Douglas County with a prisoner he had arrested for murder. The suspect's son ambushed the wagon that Officer Hubbard and the prisoner were riding in. The boy opened fire with a rifle, killing both Officer Hubbard and the prisoner.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 123rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
