The Brother We Lost

by

Sgt. Oscar R. Thomasson (Ret.)

In Honored Memory
Deputy Frank Hill
EOW: 8/16/1927

A faded photo of a brave man
His deeds faded from memory
For us he left a courageous legacy
The brother we lost

He did his duty on that dark day
Stopping a jail break, he lost his life
He left behind a young daughter and a wife
The brother we lost

Keeping watch over evil men
Doing his duty he was gunned down
His last mortal act was to lock them down
The brother we lost

He stood his ground on that fateful day
Let us always remember to honor him
May his memory never dim
The brother we lost
