Landon Earl Hicks

Sergeant Earl Hicks was killed while when his motorcycle was struck head on by a Greyhound bus on I-40 near Rockwood.

Sergeant Hicks was returning to Kingsport from Nashville with a new department motorcycle when the incident occurred. His new motorcycle was a replacement from a motorcycle that was damaged a month earlier from a on duty accident.

Sergeant Hicks served with the Tennessee Highway Patrol for three years and is survived by his Parents.
