Deputy Henke was struck and killed by a driver who fled from the scene while manning a road block near the Daniel Boone Bridge. The 30-year-old suspect was arrested and later convicted of manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident. The jury recommended a 4 year prison sentence, but his actual punishment is unknown.
