John King Healy

Lieutenant John Healy was killed in an automobile accident on CR 833, west of Clewiston, Florida, while traveling between the Tampa Reservation and the Hollywood Reservation.

His vehicle left the roadway during inclement weather and entered a canal, causing him to drown.

Lieutenant Healy had served with the Seminole Police Department for four years.

You were my sergeant when I worked there. You were a truly honorable man. You were a very kind soul who was taken from us too soon. I remember how you were so well respected by the tribal members and anyone else that was lucky enough to know you. I have tried to emulate you and how you treated others throughout my career. You will never be forgotten.
