Lieutenant Haupfear was my fathers Lt for many years, and I know my father respected him greatly. It effected him negatively for quite some time afterwards. My father was wearing Sgt stripes but had passed the Lt exam quite some time previously. Due to the death of Lieutenant Haupfear my father fill his position with the Dpt. I know the remained of my fathers time with the Dept, he regretted getting the promotion in such a manner.

Time has passed and I will always remember Lieutenant Haupfear through the wide eyes of a child. He was a great man and an even better officer of the law, he will not be forgotten.
