
Trooper Albert J. Hasson Biographical Info Trooper Albert Hasson the first Illinois State Police officer to be killed in the line of duty. Trooper Hasson was struck by a car while patrolling about three miles north of Chenoa. He pulled off the road to stop an oncoming car. Just as he stepped onto the roadway, a car struck him from behind. Trooper Hasson was thrown 10 feet. Fellow officers took him to the hospital in Pontiac where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later. |
