Officer Hart and Officer Stanley Henney were shot and killed by a fellow officer in the Hayward State University police station. The officer went crazy and shot Officer Hart and Officer Henney and wounded a third officer.
Officer Hart was taken to St. Rose Hospital, Hayward, where he died from his injuries at 1:45 am.
Officer Hart had been a member of the California State University Hayward Police Department for one year. He was survived by his wife.
