Eddie and I were in the same Electricity Class in high school however he was a senior and I was a freshnan. In March of 1975 he stopped me for speeding in Hardin County when I was going 100 mph on the Kentucky Turnpike where I was employed. He didn't take me to jail but only gave me a speeding ticket. I had just turned in my application to be a trooper two weeks earlier. I asked if this was going to hurt my chances and he told me about the board he had to go infront of for all of his speeding and reckless driving tickets he got. Long story short I made it in Sept. 1977 and I helped in the man hunt for his shooter. I retired from K.S.P. in 2004 but I think of Eddie ofter and how he gave his live to make Kentucky a better place. May God bless all police officers and their families.
